Perfect Your Autumn Boho Look

Do you know what all effortless beauty queens have in common?

They are all the epitome of the boho chic effortless style that looks extremely comfortable and endlessly cool at the same time. No wonder it’s such a popular style. If you went to Coachella this year, or if you have Internet, you’ll know what we’re talking about.

Floral flowy dresses and biker boots might have been your summer uniform if you’re a dedicated boho style lover, but since we’re moving on to colder days, hippie gowns and light flowy skirts won’t do it anymore. But there are ways. And so many of them. Plus, anyone can pull off this look, because it has nothing to do with size or fit, this autumn it’s all about patterns, shoes and accessories.

Prints

You can wear prints anywhere on your clothes, but always stick to one printed piece per outfit, you don’t want to overdo it.

Embroidery is very trendy right now, and it’s all about details. Embroidered sleeve lines on your jacket, jeans or shirt make for a stylish purchase. Romantic crochet and lace are also great to incorporate in your clothing, but as for prints, choose minimalistic animal or floral prints and pair it with our vintage gem necklace for a killer combination. They are the souls of this look, so keep your mind open to all kinds of necklaces.

Fur

Fur has boho written all over it. Fur vests, anyone? They are so chic, trendy and essential to match with skinny leather jeans and hats for the perfect autumn look. Please stick with faux fur and go to the next level with multi-coloured fur pieces in autumn colours, or choose one solid but unconventional colour, like sapphire blue or emerald green.

Poncho

Another statement autumn piece and an ultimate boho must-have – the poncho! Ponchos, or blanket scarves, will keep you warm and super cosy. Geometrical patterns on ponchos, or fringes are an instant style booster. You can wear them basically over anything, pants being the most obvious choice, but you can also go with dresses.

If you’re on a budget, there are many boho dresses on sale to invest in, for when you want to step out of those jeans. Make sure you don’t wear too many prints at once. You only need one print, and few accessories to complete the look. Which leads us to…

Accessories

It all comes down to accessories, even on your worst days, a piece of bohemian inspired statement jewellery will lift you up instantly. Pieces that have natural elements like wood, coal, turquoise or feathers are hippie, but they sure can be glamorous. A trendy boho tribal piece can get you through the work week if you wear it under your shirt, as well as on fancy night out. Same style goes for gem earrings, and rings that have large stones, or that are piled on one or more fingers. Again, keep it balanced. You don’t have to channel your inner gypsy with the whole necklace-ring-earring pack.

Another handy accessory for this autumn are the highly trending hair accessories. Different styles of headbands and head wraps are pretty cool on their own, with bonus points for helping you through any bad hair day.

Boots

Biker, ankle, slouchy boots are the last most important thing to complete your boho outfit. They go well with anything, skinny jeans, dresses, skirts, anything. If you’re not that into mixing romantic styles with edgy footwear, opt for suede look ankle boots. They are more on the elegant side, but copper or cinnamon colours will even out the boho vibe. And fringe. Don’t forget the fringe on your boots, think how awesome a fitted mid-calf dress paired with a statement necklace would look!
